Training as Motor/Sailing Yacht Skipper

Navigational school produces a set of groups for training on the captain of a motor/sailing yacht.

The training course corresponds to the following programs:

  1. Steersman of a sports sailing ship (Mintrans)
  2. Boatmaster of a small-sized sailing and motor vessel (GIMS)
  3. Bareboat Skipper (IYT, Canada)

Theory:

  • Classes are held twice a week from 19:00 to 22:00. Full-time and part-time education using distance technologies is possible.

Practice:

  • Sail yacht training during navigation (May - September) in the Gulf of Finland.
  • Qualifying cruising voyages 200 nautical miles and 600 nautical miles in the Baltic sea.

Enrol Notification

The number of correct answers for the "Pass" rating is 20 out of 21.
The successful result of the test is confirmation of the completion of a safety briefing and rules of conduct for the crew member of the sailing yacht.
The number of attempts is unlimited.
